Thank you for visiting. You’re probably here because you received our message regarding our insurance network contracts. We’d like to take a moment to explain why we’re making some changes and how you can stay with us if you choose!

Why are we deciding to end our contract with several insurance companies?

  • We’ve made the business decision to leave several insurance networks, primarily because their actions do not line up with our philosophy. We are attempting to provide to you the most up-to-date and advanced dental care while BCBS and other insurance companies are more concerned with profits for their share-holders. As your insurance premiums continue to rise, we’ve seen a purposeful decrease in our reimbursements over-time from the insurance companies. We’ve come to the point where we lose money seeing patients from most insurance networks. It’s no longer possible for us to run a small business while maintaining an in-network relationship with many insurance companies.

  • Which networks will we be ending our contracts with?

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield, AETNA, and United Concordia

  • When does the change go into effect?

    • Our goal is to have ended out contracts on Dec 31st, 2024.

  • Can I keep coming to Dentist On The Park with my insurance?

    • Yes! We will continue to accept all PPO insurances. If we are no longer in your network, just check with your policy to ensure that you have “out-of'-network” coverage.

  • Should I change my insurance?

    • For patients who only need preventative care (cleanings and check-ups), many might actually save money if they join our in-house plan compared to their monthly insurance premium.

    • At this time we are only leaving the BCBS, AETNA, and United Concordia networks. We do plan to leave other networks in the future. We will update our patients before those changes are made.

How can I continue to visit Dentist On The Park while still using my BCBS insurance?

Are there other ways to pay for my dental care?

Will there be a cost difference to see an out-of-network dentist?

The answer is yes. By seeing an out-of-network dentist you will pay a higher copay. By doing so, you’re ensuring that your dentist is being paid fairly for the services your are receiving. This helps to support a practice which is interested in technology, good materials, happy staff, up to date continuing education, and more! If you are looking for the cheapest possible dentistry, then we might not be the practice for you.
