Dental Emergency
Examples of dental emergencies include:
Tooth or gum pain that lingers or is constant and is not controlled with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication (e.g. Ibuprofen)
Swelling in the mouth, face, or neck
A broken tooth which is causing pain
A tooth has been knocked out or has become suddenly loose
Go to Urgent Care or a Hospital if:
You have neck or facial swelling that is preventing you from breathing properly
You have bleeding that will not stop
You have become feverish because of an infection in your mouth
